Directions:
The first step is to put a name to your challenge or whatever form of adversity you
may be dealing with. So take each lemon and give it a specific name. For example, if
the challenge you are facing now is related to money, I want you to take one of
those lemons and label that lemon MONEY. It’s been said that if you give your
challenge or problem a name it makes it easier to deal with. This can help to begin
to foster healing. Now, I want you to follow this same procedure with your
remaining lemons. So if it’s money, beauty, self-love, or anything that plagues you; I
want you to mentally label each one of those lemons with the name of the specific
challenge you are currently facing. It’s time for us to release this challenge. So if it is
money that’s the issue pick up that lemon, hold it high and repeat this phrase “I will
no longer allow you to control my destiny. I am blessed, highly favored, and in
control of my life!" Do this activity to each and every challenge that you face and
have identified using a lemon. Next, you have to take your knife, which in this
recipe- represents the power of creativity and self-love, and slice your lemons into
more manageable pieces. As a personal bit of advice, I would say cut each in half but
it's ultimately a personal decision of how you tackle your issues. This next step
requires power and control. Now what tool do we possess that embody power and
strength? Our hands! It’s time to take our hands and squeeze the lesson or blessing
from each of these lemons. This part may be hard and may undoubtedly bring up
some buried emotions. That is why we are doing what we are doing. Squeeze every
bit of pulp, juice, and life from those lemons into a pitcher. Give it all you've got! The
pitcher represents your soul. Be mindful of what is allowed to be poured into your
soul.
Now the hard part is over, you can take a second or more to regroup. Now it is
time to start to express your gratitude and appreciation for what you have just
experienced. Raise this pitcher high and rejoice out loud your victory. You made it
through these challenges and now it is time to remove all the seeds of doubt. The
seeds are bitter and can cause the challenge to come back. This process requires
some self-control which is represented by a spoon. Take this tool and take your
time as well to remove each and every little one; meaning doubts and/or fears.
Finally, we are going to sweeten the deal. We are going to add some sugar or good
intentions to our fresh pitcher of lemonade. Now, you can use your own discretion
at this point. Some people tend like their lemonade a little tart, and that is truly up
to you. Once you have the lemonade as sweet or tart as you would like it to be, we
have to add the essence of life- which is water. This essence in this particular
context is the culmination of all your desires and wishes. It adds to your good
intentions, it’s your focus, it is what makes YOU who you are. Now, it’s time mix all
of this together. I don’t know about you, but I prefer my lemonade ice cold. So I
think this would be a good time to add some ice or patience to the mix. Part of
growth is to share your life lessons in hopes of helping others who may experience
what you have been through. What’s the best way to share your hard work or
experience? By pouring a nice big cold glass of lemonade into some cups and shares
it with your friends and family. So the next time life gives you lemons, you take
those lemons and make Livelifepashunately™ lemonade.
